If you have Windows, then I would recommend the opensource PDF Arranger (it is also open source so won't mess with your office computers) and do the following process: Drag back.pdf onto pdf arrangerĭrag all 75 fronts onto pdf arranger (now you have 76 pages showing) front75.pdf) and one back pdf file (back.pdf) If I understand the situation, you have 75 fronts in 75 files (front1.pdf, front2.pdf. We’ll still have to go through and rename them but they are combined now and it took 15 minutes tops for the whole process.ĪLSO, for those of you who use InDesign and are creating multiple Business cards, I also found this tutorial that would be a great way to do what I needed but from the beginning. So they don't have their first and last names like we prefer BUT we do now have 75 individual BCs with a front and back. However, using this method just takes the name of the original combined file and then adds a number to the end. Our company prefers naming business cards “FirstName LastName BC”. Then once I had a pdf with 150 pages ( and I double checked I didn't paste it wrong at all), I then "Split" the pdf the way Laubender suggested. This took me about maybe 10 minutes at the longest. Then, while I was in "Organize PDF", I was able to copy the back file and just hand pasted it after every front card. I combined ALL the files (76 in total) into one massive file. I found some great info here but specifically the comment from the last guy (Laubender). I’m sharing it here in case anyone else comes across the same issue and needs it. UPDATE: After a lot of searching, I was able to figure out a way to do what I needed. But we are currently discussing our options and I wanted to ask to see if something like this exists. I’m looking at other options as well to make this easier for us. Is there a way for us to automate this so we don’t have to do it one at a time? So we need to combine the one back with all 75 so we have 75 individual front and back files. Now, our printer wants us to to have each business card to have its own individual file with both the front and back. However, she sent us 75 individual fronts and one back that goes on all of the 75.
Their designer sent us all the print ready files. We have been tasked to print 75 business cards for a company.
